This is a special holiday edition of the Vegas Bright Podcast. There won’t be a news round-up, music, or Vegas history. This episode is topical; it’s about that very first trip to Las Vegas. I’ll be sharing my very first trip to Vegas and how I started off by saying I’d never ever go to Vegas and then becoming the Vegas enthusiast I am now.

I’m also interested in your first trip to Vegas as well, so we’re doing another “Author For a Day” contest (though it isn’t a contest, really). Simply drop us an email –don’t worry that your writing isn’t good enough, or that you’re not a grammarian, it’s ok, I’m an Editor…I got your back! More details in the show.

Vegas Trip

I have a background in radio broadcasting (many, many, years ago) and love for all things Vegas. So, a podcast is a great way to combine two of my passions. The Vegas Bright Podcast is not a replacement for our website, just an extension of it. – Michael Movestro

  1. Congrats on jumping the broom!!! I celebrated 10 years with my hubs in Sept. We have done 6 trips to Vegas together I believe. I was knocked up the first time and it was in the summer. It was BAD real BAD!!! When he surprised with the gift of Vegas for my bday one year I was crying buckets of tears. Goes to show he was listening to all of my “I wanna go, I wanna go” I went to Vegas preg with our first daughter in July of 08. I remember seeing Wet Republic all over my gossip mags and saying I need to be there. Sadly I didn’t make it with a round belly year one. Stayed at the Wyndham Grand Desert. I liked it but knew my next strip I had to be on strip.

    (Love the #shonuff)

The shortcuts are the best esp the ones through Crowmwell, Harrah’s etc. Only till my trip last year did I find out all of those hotels connected…Linq, Etc. Love the steak story with the catholic church music. HILARIOUS!! Sound effects for the fireworks was funny. How awesome you had an all expense paid trip as a Vegas Virgin. Jealous @ the stay @ the Venetian.

    haha @ NY Not Vegas.

I really think Atlantic City can be a Vegas, my husband says otherwise. AC needs millionssss of dollars but if they put the money into it, I think it can be a Vegas. Too bad Revel went downhill. That was my hope.

  2. Millenail here and I had NO idea what Cubert was, at least not by name so glad you clarified on that lol
